Disclosures & Important Information
Disclosures can sound like a lot of mumbo jumbo, so here are some answers In plain English…
OUR ADVISORY PRACTICE
-
A: On the investment advisory side, Inbundance is compensated through a transparent, fee-based model, not commissions.
Separately, IM-NW (an affiliate of Avenue Insurance, LLC) handles
insurance services, where agents earn commissions from insurance
carriers. The two sides of the business are distinct. -
We charge an annual advisory fee of 1.00% of assets under management for accounts up to $4 million, and 0.50% for accounts above $4 million. These fees are negotiable and are billed quarterly in advance.
Our co-adviser, Matson Money, Inc., does not charge a separate advisory fee; they are compensated solely through the fund expense ratio (~0.49%). There are no hidden commissions or up-front charges on the investment side.
-
A: Yes. Inbundance is a registered investment adviser with a fiduciary duty to every client. That means we are legally and ethically required to put your interests ahead of our own…always. This is a higher standard than the "suitability" standard that applies to many brokers and insurance agents.
-
A: We believe in investing, not speculating and gambling. Our approach is grounded in academic research (Modern Portfolio Theory, Efficient Market Hypothesis, and the Fama-French Five Factor Model). In plain terms, we don't try to time the market or pick "hot" stocks. We build diversified portfolios designed to capture long-term market returns while managing risk based on your goals, time horizon, and comfort level.
